Awards Season

Screentime Corporate Television has garnered 6 awards at the prestigious 30th Annual Telly Awards in the US.

"YMDS?” produced for the Media Design School, was awarded Silver in the Recruitment category, as was the 30th Anniversary video we produced for EDL Fasteners. Our induction video for OCS was awarded a Bronze Telly in the Employee Communication category. “RAP- Pimp My Store” produced for Repco Auto Parts received three Bronze awards for Employee Communications, Use of Humour, and Copywriting. Founded in 1978, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online film and video. The Telly Awards annually showcases the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, interactive agencies, and corporate video departments in the world and receives over 13,000 entries annually from all 50 states and countries around the world.

A prestigious judging panel of over 40 accomplished industry professionals, each a past Winner of a Silver Telly, the top honor, judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. Judges evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work - entries do not compete against each other - rather entries are judged against a high standard of merit. Between 7 and 10% of entries are chosen as Winners of a Silver Telly, the highest honor. Other outstanding work is awarded a Bronze Telly.

The judges rate each entry on a 100-point scale. Generally, entries with a score from the judges of 90 or higher are awarded a “Silver Telly” statuette. Entries with an average score of 70 to 89 from the judges are awarded a “Bronze Telly” statuette for outstanding achievement. Entries do not compete against each other. Rather, they compete against a high standard of excellence. The Silver Council, the judging and oversight body, is comprised of top advertising and video production professionals that are past winners of a Silver Telly, and have been chosen for membership based on their professional accomplishments. Considering that entrants submit only their very best work, as well as the extremely high number of entrants, earning a Telly Award is a significant creative achievement.
