Countdown to Safety

We love it when the brief is to "get creative"! Progressive Enterprises' National Safety, Health & Environment Manager, Bruce McKinnon had worked with us before while at Repco, helping him "Pimp My Store" for a national conference. This time he wanted to generate maximum impact with a presentation on everyone's favourite subject, safety, to PEL's annual gathering of store managers and support staff.

Our solution in RWC year was to deliver the presentation as a pre-season coaching session for the "Countdown Clippers" franchise with 'Macca' and 'Badger' as the dynamic and inspirational coaching team. In the off-season they covertly acquired the secrets to the success of other winning teams (stores) to aid the Clippers in their quest for back to back season wins. Successful 'players' were recorded on spycams hidden in their offices and in bags carried around their stores by the coach in disguise, and one whistleblower agreed to be interviewed on condition of anonymity.

Bruce told us, "The subject is hardly sexy as we know, but the audience just lapped it up.
Thanks to you and the team, you made it easy and the "stars” from the stores were made to look really sharp!"

Frankly our biggest challenge was producing camerawork that look bad enough to be amateur! And yes, we'll admit to even giving the camera to the client for one scene. Great fun.
