Mighty!
What a great time we've been having visiting power generation sites around the North Island. It's a fascinating topic and the Mighty River Power people we've met while making Mighty TV are obviously passionate about the area they work in.
The idea behind Mighty TV is to help everyone in the company get to know each other a little better and see what they all get up to. It was born out of an idea put forward by the team working on how Mighty River Power could be a better place to work, and, in addition to the company's intranet (which the show plays on), is another way they can hear the latest news, meet each other, and see what's going on.
It's an exciting initiative and we're rapt to be helping the Mighty River team regularly produce their own monthly show.
In the first edition we met the Projects team in Auckland, Hamilton and Palmerston North, visited the company's latest geothermal plant in Taupo, its gas-powered CoGeneration plant in Penrose, and the planned site of the largest wind farm in the country, took in the National Rowing Champs at Karapiro, and got to find out a little more about the man behind the "Chief Executive" title- Doug Heffernan.
