Let's Do The Time Lapse Again

As Watercare's replacement of the aged Hobson Bay pipeline nears completion the most visual change to the waterline- demolition of the old above-water pipe- was always going to be one worth recording. As the company responsible for recording the mammoth project we decided that this stage in the process was ideal for a timelapse recording.

The hardest part was finding a suitable location to mount the camera- one that was high enough to view as much of the pipeline as possible yet secure and with easy access for backing up and changing the batteries. Once this spot was identified and the camera moounted there was not a lot to do but let the action unfold.

Although the appalling weather hampered demolition we got the desired result before the lighting pole we'd chosen for our camera position was
removed.
