About Screentime
Screentime's first production for TVNZ was in 1996, '5.30 WITH JUDE' was a daily magazine series which delivered over 1000 episodes for TV One over a five year period. In this time, Screentime also produced the series ‘RAFTED’, ‘ROCKQUEST’, and ‘REVELL WITH A CAUSE’ as well as a number of successful documentaries.
Since that time, Screentime has continued to enjoy considerable success both at home and abroad, producing hundreds of hours of television for the major New Zealand networks and successfully launching two new New Zealand owned and originated formats ‘SINGLE GIRLS’ and ‘STRIP SEARCH’ into the international television market.
Screentime’s most recent portfolio includes the long running series POLICE TEN 7, PROFILES, ILLEGAL NZ, THE MISSING, BEYOND THE DARKLANDS, and MARAE DIY. In addition, Screentime has produced several successful documentaries including MERCURY FALLING, HURRICANE BRASH, STREET KIDS, IN THE WAKE OF THE RAINBOW WARRIOR, ARE VITAMINS KILLING YOU? and the critically acclaimed 18 hour live broadcast for Maori Television Services NA RATOU MO TATOU - THEY DID IT FOR US, ANZAC DAY 2006, and 2007 and TRIBUTE 08.
Our first tele-feature is currently in development and we are producing our first feature film in a NZ UK Co-production – ICE.
Screentime Group History
Screentime was established 11 years ago, and now operates in NZ, Australia, Ireland and the UK. Together The Group produces multi-award winning programmes in all genres worldwide.
Since its inception Screentime has enjoyed great success with a variety of drama projects including the long form drama series BREAKERS (430 episodes) and MDA (3 series - 56 episodes), as well as mini series MARY BRYANT, JESSICA ,and THE POTATO FACTORY; telemovies THE SOCIETY MURDERS, MY HUSBAND MY KILLER, IHAKA and CLOSE CONTACT, FALSE WITNESS and the acclaimed series UNDERBELLY.
