The Gift Of Life

Screentime Communications has just completed the first stage of one of the most important projects we've had the privilege to work on. We've been commissioned by Organ Donation New Zealand to produce a training video for medical staff on brain death testing, one of the first steps in identifying suitable donors.

It's a sensitive subject and one that's taken many months of preparation. So far we've recorded the introductory, linking and summary material; the next stage is to record Dr Tony Smith demonstrating correct testing proceedures on both brain dead and non-brain dead patients. With very little notice when suitable subjects will become available it's not only a tricky project to record, but also a challenging one to crew as we have to be able to contact a number of lighting cameramen, sound recordists and assistants should we get the nod.
