This week on Police Ten 7, Graham Bell and the crime crew are on the scene with Detectives investigating the mysterious disappearance of Auckland mother Carmen Thomas. The item will feature a time line leading up to her last known sighting and an interview with her mother who has just arrived from South Africa. Police Ten 7, Thursday 7.30pm TV2

From murderers to rapists, burglars to taggers, Police Ten 7 is there.

Police Ten 7 is New Zealand's own actuality crime fighting show hosted by Detective Inspector (ret.) Graham Bell who draws on his extensive years in the New Zealand Police force investigating this country's most gruesome crimes to now assisting in solving our most recent felonies and catching our very worst criminals. Central to Police Ten 7's success in helping the New Zealand Police solve crime and catch criminals is Graham's weekly appeal to viewers who may have unwittingly witnessed crimes featured or who may know the whereabouts of criminals shown on the programme and the show's free calling phone lines that connect them directly to Police. Entertaining to viewers are the reality stories that showcase the work of the police force by following officers on patrol and their everyday challenges through out the various towns in New Zealand 24/7.

Last week police received fantastic information regarding a couple of wanted offenders and are set to make arrests any day now.

Your calls make a difference, so keep them coming.

Detective Inspector (R) Graham Bell

With over 33 years in the New Zealand Police, most of it involved in investigating serious crime, Graham Bell is one of New Zealand’s most experienced and successful detectives. He retired from the police at the rank of Detective Inspector in December 2001.

Graham’s case list provides a testament to his achievements. High profile cases such as the murders of Reporoa farmer Beverley Bouma, Mangakino policeman Murray Stretch, Tauranga PD Warden Noel McKenzie, Filthy Few gang victim Jo-anne Van Duyvenbooden, Whakamaru Lake murder Jason Johnson, Gisborne caretaker Andrea Torrey and Tokoroa’s Paul Hedley are only the tip of the iceberg.

In 2001 he was awarded the Queen’s Service Medal in the Birthday Honours List and was named as one of 15 New Zealanders who "made a difference" in North and South Magazine’s New Zealander of the year award.
